The Twin city opera house
Mcconnelsville Ohio
We arrived at the Opera House just as the movie of the evening was ending, about
8:45 p.m.   We met with one of the employees who proceeded to give us a tour of the
building.  After the initial tour I was disappointed to learn that the old parts of the
building such as the old ballroom and old city offices would be off limits to us due to
safety reasons.  We set up our control center on the main stage where apparitions
have been reported.  After setting up our command post we started our investigation.

With Rick and Nancy starting in the upper balcony, Jeni, Nina and myself headed for
the basement.  While in the basement we weren't able to get any evp's but we did
capture some very good orb apparitions and the smell of flowers which we later
determined was coming from air fresheners in the restrooms.  While we were in the
basement Rick called us to ask where we were at and proceeded to tell us that he
and Nancy had seen an apparition cross the stage behind the screen that they show
movies on as if in a hurry.  We decided to make our way upstairs to the stage in
hopes of witnessing the apparition ourselves.  As we were making our way upstairs
we had picked up a voice telling us to "run".  We were also able to pick up a little girl's
voice saying "beep" as Rick was loading a new tape in the video camera on the stage.

In a previous investigation to the Greenlawn Mausoleum, Rick found out the hard way
not to tell the spirits that they are deceased. He picked a male voice telling him to
"walk away, walk outside" and "get the F#@% out".  As we were joking about it
behind the screen on stage, Rick reminded me not to say that, which I replied "it's too
late" I had said that in the basement.  Later while listening to the evp's I picked up a
male voice believed to be that of Everett (a former usher at the opera house that
supposedly haunts the theatre) saying "smooth" then you hear footsteps walking
away with a heavy sigh.  We are in contact with the owner of the theatre about a
return trip for a second investigation very soon.

Upon further reviews of the evp's Rick was able to get a female voice replying "no"
when he asked if they knew what year it was.  We will keep you posted on new
evidence that we get on our return visit to the opera house.
